Summer Reading List

What are YOU reading this summer?



Yesterday I spent the day in my two favorite places! Barnes and Noble and the library! Yes, you can call me a nerd, but I love to read! I ended up with over 20 books and I'm super excited to start them all!

I'm still working on my summer reading list, but here is what I have so far (in no particular order)! Feel free to send me recommendations of good books you have read so I can complete my list!

    This morning over at Smitten Design she listed what sounds like a great book so I'm going to pass it along: "Saving CeeCee Honeycutt" by Beth Hoffman. It sounds sooooo good.

    I'm also hoping to re-read Don't Waste Your Life by John Piper. He always has some great books that really make me think.

  2. allison... through painted deserts is one of my favorite books ever. you should read it soon. i loved it. i enjoyed it a lot more than blue like jazz, although that's a good one too. i also read three cups of tea for a class this spring and really enjoyed it! i think you'll like it. oh and same kind of different than me is pretty good too! i cried.. and that doesn't happen very often.

    i'm reading narnia, redeeming love and desiring God. let me know which one of those you like!

  3. awesome reading list! there are definitely some books on their that i am looking forward to reading! this is why summer is so great, there isnt any school reading to keep me from reading books that i want to read! i highly recommend dune and meaning of night! meaning of night is my all-time favorite book! also, it is kind of a darker read, but "The Devil in the White City" is awesome!

  5. #6, 7, 8, and 12 Are all Great!! #22 I should probably reread ;p I read it SOOO long ago but I own it so .. no hurry Lol. Have you read "The 13th Tale"??... AWESOME!

    Some of my Faves:The Celestine Prophecy, The Thirteenth Tale, Paradise Park, The Lovely Bones, The Effects of Light, The Five People You Meet in Heaven.... Theres more though ;p Ooh I just LOVE books!! I love thrift stores the best I can get a billion books for very little $$,, especially nice since I like COLLECTING and not RETURNING! Lol

  8. A Long Way Gone was absolutely beautiful, heartbreaking, and eye-opening, and The Great Gatsby is among my favorites...I have paragraphs from that book memorized. Might I suggest The Life of Pi by Yann Martel? Its a life-changer for sure. :)

  9. Based on your other selections, you will love Eat, Pray, Love. Do NOT see the movie before you read the book.. Pinkie Swear?
    Also I suggest to you....The Janet Evanovich series on Stephanie Plum, great laughs!
